This kit works just fine for “Stihl S1C 49P” or what seems to be Zama C1S S1C carbs found on Stihl 009LEQ chain saws. After rebuilding, I had to enrich the “L” mix beyond the manual’s setting by about 1/4 turn, but it now runs well, idles well and I set the max rpm at 12,000 – unloaded. Previous symptoms were: It would cold start O.K., but after a couple minutes of running would just die for no reason, no warning, and be almost impossible to restart until it got completely cold again. When I took the carb apart initially, I couldn’t see anything obviously wrong with it, but changed out the parts in the kit (except the Welsh plugs and fine mesh filters [my carb didn’t have replacable filters]), gave it a carb cleaner bath and re-assembled. Problem solved. Idles very smoothly now @ 2500 rpm. Haven’t put it to work yet, but see no reason it won’t. [...]
